GenTwo Securitization Platform Raises $15 Million in Series A Funding

GenTwo, a fintech platform that specializes in securitization, has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by hedge fund luminary Steve Cohen’s Point72 Ventures. The Zurich-based firm plans to use the funding to grow internationally and to develop its financial engineering platform.

The company’s PRO platform allows investors to securitize and bring to market any asset or investment strategy in the form of a bankable security. This includes non-bankable assets such as real estate, fine art, and digital assets, making them accessible to all investors.

Pete Casella, senior partner and co-head of fintech investments at Point72 Ventures, has also joined GenTwo’s board of directors. Point72 Ventures is a global venture capital fund, based in New York and Menlo Park in California. It invests from pre-seed to pre-IPO, ranging from $250,000 to $50 million.

Our mission is to make securitization accessible to all investors, said GenTwo CEO and co-founder, Dr. Philipp Schoch. This funding round will help us to further develop our platform and to expand our reach to a global audience.
